A cross-media performance/installation, 5 Streams is director Ibrahim Quraishi's rumination on South Asia's mythologies and realities through interactive sound, live video, dance, voice, movement, electronica, live percussion, and ancient texts. A world torn apart by conflicts is brought together by shared histories and identities.
An international team of artists present this cross-media performance, featuring composers Norscq, Paul Miller aka DJ Spooky, dancer Parul Shah, and performers Rajika Puri and Fawzia Afzal-Khan.
5 Streams is commissioned by the Asia Society in association with MASS MoCA.
